WOODLAWN, Md. — Baltimore County Police arrested a man after they say he shot a 39-year-old man on Kernan Drive in Woodlawn.
According to officials, the shooting victim was outside of his house on the 1900 block of Kernan Drive on Tueday afternoon when he was alerted by the sound of gunshots. The man then turned around and noticed the shooter, who was identified at 60-year-old Charles Eric Parker, aiming a shotgun at him and tried to flee. But police say, Parker fired his weapon again and shot the man in the upper body.
Police say the man was sent to an area hospital for treatment for his non-life threatening injury.
Officials determined that Parker and the man knew each other and were involved in an ongoing dispute.
Police were able to locate and arrest Parker in the Roland Park area moments after the reported shooting.
Parker has been charged with attempted homicide and a number of firearms violations.
