UPDATE: Baltimore County Public Schools have lifted their alert, meaning students may leave after schools remained on alert through the afternoon following the killing of a Baltimore County Police officer in Perry Hall. No buses will be transporting students home, but parents may come and pick their children up.
UPDATE: Parents of Perry Hall ES, Seven Oaks ES, and Gunpowder ES students can pick up their students. Administration will oversee dismissal. Please be patient. Only a few parents will be allowed in the school at one time. Will be additional police presence.

Three elementary schools are being held over on alert status after an officer was killed in the line of duty in Perry Hall, the suspect is still at large.

Perry Hall Elementary, Seven Oaks Elementary, and Gunpowder Elementary will not be dismissed at this time due to the shooting.
Carney Elementary was on alert status, but Baltimore County Schools tweeted that students are being sent home by bus or being picked up by parents. A parent also called WMAR-2 News and said she is not able to pick up her kid from St. Joseph Fullerton because they are also on alert.
Baltimore County officials say don't attempt to respond to the school and to call school administrators for further instructions.
