BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — A September assault case has now been ruled a homicide after the victim died of his injuries on Sunday.
On September 24, at around 9 a.m., Baltimore County Police was called to the 500 block of Eastern Boulevard for a call of an unconscious subject. The victim, 78-year-old William David Johnson, Jr., had been hit repeatedly with a blunt object.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Johnson's death a homicide from multiple head injuries with complications Friday after an autopsy was performed. Johnson remained hospitalized at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center since the day of accident, September 24, until his death.
