GLEN ARM, Md. — On its website, Summerfield Estate in Glen Arm is billed as an upscale vacation home for up to 10 people and as a popular wedding venue, but after a report of a shooting there at 1 a.m. on Sunday, it quickly turned into a crime scene.

"When our officers responded, they actually found two victims---both suffering from trauma,” said Cpl. Shawn Vinson of the Baltimore County Police Department. “What we have been able to determine at this point is that this is an isolated incident. We believe there were several people at that location at the time of this. There was an argument that broke out and during this argument, there was a shooting."

Police say paramedics transported the victims, two males ages 16 and 18, to a local hospital with gunshot wounds that appear to be non-life threatening.

The nearly 8,000-square-foot mansion dates back to the 1760s and sits on nine acres with a direct walking trail to the nearby Loch Raven Reservoir.

While the estate advertises long and short rentals, it will now be up to investigators to sort out why they were there and who tried to kill them.

"They were at the house. They were not residents of the house and we looking into what they were exactly doing at the house so there are details right now that we're not releasing,” said Vinson. “It's part of an active investigation. We're hoping to learn some more information and once we've identified a suspect, at that point, we feel comfortable that we'd be able to release more details."

Earlier Saturday evening, Baltimore County Police also responded to a shooting on Molton Way, which left a 23-year-old man injured, and one on Fontana Lane where a 41-year-old man was shot.

Police are seeking to identify numerous witnesses to this shooting. If you have any information you can contact Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP or go online to metrocrimestoppers.org and you may be eligible for a reward up to $2,000.00.
