WESTMINSTER, Md. — Westminster Police announced the arrest of a 33-year-old man who allegedly committed armed robbery in late July.
James Edward Jones was served an arrest warrant for the robbery in a joint operation conducted by the Westminster Police, the Maryland State Police, and the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.
Jones was arrested at his home in the unit block of John Street in Westminster. Law enforcement agents also recovered a replica handgun while executing the warrant.
Police said Jones committed armed robbery on Bond Street on July 25. He was identified as a suspect after the robbery was reported to police.
Jones has been charged with armed robbery, second-degree assault, and theft of less than $100.
