SYKESVILLE, Md. — A 32-year-old Sykesville man was arrested after shooting another man with a crossbow during a dispute early Sunday.
Deputies said a 31-year-old Finksburg man showed up at the home of David Martin, in the 6600 block of Monroe Avenue, at about 2:30 a.m. and began verbally threatening Martin and Martin’s juvenile daughter.
Martin proceeded to shoot a crossbow at the Finksburg man, striking him in the left forearm. The man suffered an injury and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Martin was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. He is being held at the Carroll County Detention Center on “no bond,” and has a bail review scheduled for Monday.
