An armed robber stole money from a New Windsor 7-11 convenience store after brandishing a "blunt object" Monday morning, Carroll County Sheriff's Office said.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the store located at 2899 New Windsor Road for a reported armed robbery at about 3:11 a.m.

There, a store clerk said the man entered the 7-11, "displayed a blunt object and demanded cash," the sheriff's office said. The robber pushed the clerk and fled the store on food with an undisclosed amount of cash. Deputies searched the area with both a K-9 unit and the Maryland State Police Aviation Division but did not find the suspect.

The robber was described as a white man who was wearing glasses, a black mask, a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, and gloves.

If anyone has any information about the robbery or the suspect should contact Carroll County Sheriff's Detective Owens at 410-386-2571.
