Pickup truck tailgates thefts are on the rise in Carroll County, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies have responded to four separate incidents of tailgates being stolen from Ford F-250 or F-350 trucks in the county.
Officials encourage residents to be alert and report any suspicious activity around locations where pickup trucks are parked.

Residents are asked to park their vehicles in well lit areas and secure vehicles either in a garage or with the tailgate parked close to a building.
