WESTMINSTER, Md. (WMAR) — Deputy State Fire Marshals are looking for a pickup truck possibly linked to an arson and a burglary in Carroll County.
The investigation started on Sunday at around 7 a.m. when fire crews were called to 1025 Tracy Meadows Drive for a structure fire.
Arriving firefighters found a burning 10-foot by 20-foot shed. Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set and caused around $10,000 in damage.
Officials located area surveillance cameras that showed a 2000s model light colored Toyota Tacoma pickup truck fleeing the scene with stolen property from the shed.
It was later discovered that the same vehicle had been in the 1200 block of Emerald Ridge Road in Westminster where a burglary and theft had previously been reported.
In all, six pressure washers, a push lawn mower, and several tools were taken.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Office of the State Fire Marshal at 410-836-4844 or Maryland State Police at 410-386-3000.
