WESTMINSTER, Md. — Westminster Police are offering a reward for information about a man who they say robbed a New Windsor State Bank.
Police say the robbery happened on Friday around 4:15 p.m. at the New Windsor State Bank in the College Square shopping center. They say a man approached a teller with a note announcing a robbery, so the teller handed him an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say the man took out a knife before running away, but no employees or customers were injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white man, around 6 foot in height, possibly in his 20’s, and has a thin build. During the robbery he wore large black sunglasses, a maroon colored sweatshirt with the hood tied tightly around his face, dark colored pants, and high top style shoes.
The Westminster Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for this bank robbery. Citizens who may have witnessed this incident or who have information as to the identity of the suspect are asked to contact Sgt.
