CECIL COUNTY, Md. — Cecil County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a theft from a church.
According to officials, on January 2, deputies responded to Saint Francis Xavier Shrine Church located in the 1600 block of Bohemia Church Road in Warwick for a theft.
The church belongs to the Diocese of the Wilmington Catholic Church in Wilmington, Delaware.
Upon further investigation it was revealed unknown suspects went to the exterior of the church and removed rain gutters made of copper. It is reported that six gutters, each approximately ten to twenty feet long were stolen.
The theft is believed to have occurred between December 20, 2019 and January 2, 2020.
