ELKTON, Md. — A man was arrested on Saturday after setting fire to his significant other's clothing on their front lawn following a disagreement.
Deputy State Fire Marshals said 36-year-old Dustin Miller has been charged with second-degree malicious burning, reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property under $1,000.
Officials responded to the lawn fire just before 3 p.m. on Saturday to the area of 200 Bruce Court and found that Miller had ignited his partner's clothing with gasoline and a cigarette lighter. Fire Marshals found that he was responsible for the fire.
Miller faces a maximum of more than six years in prison and/or $6,000 in fines if found guilty of all the charges in question. He is currently released on his own recognizance.
