ELKTON, Md. — Officers with the Elkton Police Department are looking for Anthony Maniscalco after they say he stabbed his friend in the back.
On Saturday police were called to Union Hospital after reports of a stabbing victim. When they arrived, they found a man with a large cut to the left side of his neck and multiple stab wounds to the upper left side of his back.
The man was taken to the trauma unit where police were able to speak with him. The man told police he was in a house in the 100 block of Hollingsworth Manor and that Maniscalco was the suspect. Another witness told police that Maniscalco was angry and yelling, so the victim told him to calm down. Maniscalco then took out a pocket style knife and stabbed the man multiple times for telling him to calm down.
Investigators say evidence found at the home was consistent with testimonies from the witness and victim, but Maniscalco was nowhere to be found.
Police say they have been to the house on Hollingsworth Manor and they have dealt with Maniscalco two prior times at this same location. Maniscalco and the victim had already been interviewed by police the prior morning as witnesses to another stabbing between two women. That stabbing is not related to the one Maniscalco is charged with.
If you know where Anthony Maniscalco is, do not approach or attempt to apprehend him, please call 911. If anyone is found to be helping or harboring Maniscalco they will be charged accordingly.
