PIKESVILLE, Md. — A 42-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds and lying alone on a Salisbury road, Maryland State Police said.
Troopers responded to a reported shooting near Richmond Avenue and West Road at about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday. There they found the man suffering from gunshot wounds to his “lower extremities,” police said. The man was taken to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment.
According to a preliminary investigation by the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division Lower Shore, the man was walking alone in the road when he was shot. Police had no information about the gunman, motive, or how the victim was approached.
