Police investigate string of cars vandalized, arson in Kent Co

Posted

The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating after a truck was set on fire following a string of car vandalism in Kent County. Officials say a 2001 Ford F-250 pick-up truck was discovered burned on the passenger’s side where it was parked in a lot at 224 Cannon St in Chestertown.

The fire burned itself out before officials could arrive but Chestertown police say this occurred a day after ten vehicles were vandalized in the same area.

The estimated loss of the truck is $3,000.

Anyone with information on this fire is urged to call the Easton office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal at 410-822-7609.
