ABERDEEN, Md. — Aberdeen Police have arrested and charged the man responsible for two Aberdeen armed robberies.

The first robbery was reported on Saturday, at a little after 9 p.m., at the Sunoco in the 600 block of Philadelphia Boulevard and the second happened at the Lucky Mart in the 100 block of S. Philadelphia Boulevard on Tuesday at around 11:50 a.m.

Officials say that in both robberies 41-year-old Bobby E. Riley, of Aberdeen, pulled out a firearm. They also mentioned that, after completing both robberies, Riley drove away in a Toyota Camry that was missing a rear hub cap.

On Christmas Day, patrol officers spotted a vehicle in the 600 block of S. Philadelphia Boulevard that matched the description of the car that was used in both robberies.

On Thursday, at about 11:15 a.m., Riley was stopped in the Camry for a traffic violation and arrested on the suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. A search warrant was issued for his home and evidence from both robberies was found.

Riley, who is currently being held at the Harford County Detention Center on no bail, has been charged with Armed Robbery, Robbery, Assault and Theft.
