EDGEWOOD, Md. (WMAR) — An alleged armed and dangerous kidnapper on the run, is now in custody.

Scott is accused of kidnapping a woman and trying to abduct a teenage girl minutes before on Saturday.

In the first incident, a 21-year-old woman told investigators she was approached by a man later identified as Scott in the Food Lion parking lot off Hanson Road in Edgewood.

Scott allegedly got into the woman's car and brandished a knife, forcing her to drive to a nearby location.

When they stopped, Scott tried getting the victim to undress, but she was able to break free and run to get help.

Then minutes earlier in the same parking lot, Scott reportedly asked a 17-year-old girl to call him a cab before grabbing her arm and attempting to get into her vehicle.

Luckily, the teen was able to get away.

The sheriff's office tells WMAR-2 News that Scott may be linked to two similar incidents over the last two months. One of the cases involved a woman who claims Scott raped her. Investigators are also looking into an August 5th incident where a woman says she picked up a man who'd been hacking.

The woman told authorities the man hopped in the car and started wielding a knife, demanding that she drive to Harford County where he later raped her.

Officials say Scott is supposed to be transported from Virginia back to Harford County by Thursday, at which point investigators will provide more information on his arrest.
