A Jessup man has been charged with human trafficking.
Howard County police arrested 26-year-old Jabari Theodore.
Detectives learned an 18-year-old woman was at a Laurel Hotel on Washington Boulevard, when a photo of her was posted on a prostitution and trafficking website.
Investigators believe Theodore was responsible for scheduling appointments with clients, where the female would be forced to perform sexual acts for money, that Theodore would collect.
Police responded to the hotel Tuesday, and arrested Theodore on several offenses. He later posted $2,500 bond and was released from the Howard County Detention Center.
The victim was directed to services focused on providing assistance to those who have been trafficked.
