Massage therapist charged with touching client inappropriately

Posted

A massage therapist at the Pearl Spa in Fulton has been charged with a sex offense after one of his clients said he touched her inappropriately.

27-year-old Gene Coxson from Laurel was arrested and charged by the Howard County police charged with a fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault.

The victim told police she was at the Pearl Spa on Maple Lawn Boulevard on September 25 when Coxson touched her inappropriately. She told him to stop and later called the police about the incident.

Detectives launched an investigation and arrested Coxson this last week.  He has been released on a $5,000 bond and has been suspended from the Pearl Spa.

Investigators are concerned that there may be other victims of Coxson’s who have not contacted police. Anyone who thinks they may have been assaulted by Coxson, at the Pearl Spa or anywhere else, should call 410-313-STOP or email HCPDcrimetips@howardcountymd.gov.
