COLUMBIA, Md. (WMAR) — A woman is dead and a man is severely injured following an apparent homicide inside a Columbia apartment.
Howard County Police say they responded for a welfare check in the 8800 block of Spiral Cut just before 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, after receiving a call from concerned family members.
Responding officers found a deceased 36-year-old woman inside of the apartment and also located a 42-year-old man suffering from significant injuries.
Police have not released the identity of the victims, or said what kind of injuries they sustained.
The male is currently hospitalized at University of Maryland Shock Trauma.
