Skeletal remains found in a wooded area this past June have been identified.
The discovery was made in the afternoon on June 1 by a landscape worker in the 12200 block of Green Meadow Drive in Columbia.
On Thursday, Howard County Police said the remains were identified as Kevin Anthony Saunders. Officials say Saunders was never reported missing and was last seen by a family member in May 2015 when he was 20-years-old.
The State Medical Examiner found no signs of foul play, however they have not determined the cause, manner and time of death.
