Two men were arrested and charged with invading two Howard County homes about a month apart, Howard County Police said.
The first home invasion occurred on March 17, when police said Timonthy Branch, of Kippis Road in Millersville, and Terrance Pearson, of Bayberry Street in Elkridge, and additional suspects, entered a house in the 9600 block of Quarry Bridge Court in Columbia. The 24-year-old Branch and 37-year-old Pearson had their faces covered and were carrying guns. Once inside the home, they brandished their weapons and assaulted their victims, stealing cash and two additional guns before fleeing. The victims were not seriously injured.
About a month later on April 16, police said that the pair again covered their faces and brandished guns when they entered a home in the 8600 block of Cobbefield Drive in Columbia. The duo displayed their guns to the home’s resident, entered the house, assaulted him, and stole sneakers, electronics, and cash before fleeing. The home’s inhabitant was not seriously hurt.
Investigators were able to identify and locate both suspects shortly after the second home invasion, placing the pair under arrest. A search warrant of their vehicles and homes produced stolen goods from both home invasions, including the stolen guns, police said.
Branch and Pearson did not know their victims, police said, as they try to investigate a motive. Police are also working to identify the additional suspects involved in the first home invasion.
