Anne Arundel County Police are continuing to investigate a barricade that lasted just short of 24 hours.
On February 19 at 5:20 PM, officer's responded to the 600 block of Red Cedar Road for an overdose and possible suicidal person.
According to police, the adult male caller advised taking illegal drugs at which time he began indicating he was hallucinating. It was learned the subject was in possession of a firearm.
Officials say throughout the incident, crisis negotiators communicated with the man. While doing so, the suspect fired multiple times at officers outside the residence.
Tuesday at approximately 3 PM, law enforcement was able to safely take the man into custody.
No injuries were reported. Charges are pending.
