A pat on the back to Maryland high schools after U.S. News and World Reports ranked 55 of them among the best high schools in the country!
Each year, U.S. News and World Reports releases its rankings of best high schools in the country based on the test results from the partnership assessment of readiness for college and careers, also known as PARCC. This year, 10 Maryland schools received gold medals, 38 received silver, and seven received bronze.
Here are the top high schools in the state:
- #1: Winston Churchill High in Potomac
- #4: River Hill in Howard County
- #6: Marriotts Ridge in Howard County
- #7: Centennial High in Howard County
- #8: Eastern Technical High School in Baltimore
- #9: Towson High Law and Public Policy
Each of these schools also made the top 500 among best high schools in the country.
