MARYLAND — We want our students to enter the new school year feeling prepared to achieve and succeed academically. And what better way to show that support than to contribute to your local book drive or donate funds that will contribute to their success.

Teachers, organizations, and residents across the state are working to make sure our students are fully equipped. Take a look below at how you can donate to a drive for Maryland students:

BALTIMORE

Morgan State University students need college textbooks:

A Morgan State University professor is raising money to purchase textbooks for her students. She said after noticing that a number of her students could not purchased books for her class because they could not afford them, she started a GoFund Me page to help fund the books.

Help WMAR-2 News buy books for Baltimore kids

Here at WMAR-2 News, we believe every child deserves to learn and grow through reading. That’s why we are joining forces with The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation and the Scripps Howard Foundation to buy books for kids in Baltimore City Public Schools, specifically, libraries at schools that are already part of the Baltimore Elementary and Middle School Library Project. If you donate $10, you will give a kid four books!
