Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh headlines a group of keynote speakers set to deliver remarks at the 2018 University of Maryland University College commencement ceremonies on May 12 and 13.
Pugh will deliver her keynote speech during a ceremony on Sunday, May 13 at 3:30 p.m. Maryland State Senate President Mike Miller will speak at a similar ceremony on Saturday, May 12 at 3:30 p.m. Broadcast journalist Maureen Bunyan, formerly of the Washington, D.C.-area station WJLA-TV, will speak as well. All commencement events will take place at the Xfinity Center at the university's College Park, Md. campus.
More than 3,000 graduates are scheduled to cross the stage and receive diplomas at the three commencement events, with an additional 13,332 diplomas being award around the world.
