BALTIMORE — A teacher from Randallstown High School is getting ready to run her first half marathon in the virtual Baltimore Running Festival and she's doing it in honor of a former student.

Susan Ellerbee is running to raise money for the D'ymond Shant'yl Dantzler Legacy Foundation, which was established after the death of Dantzler in 2015. According to the website, the foundation seeks to "educate, empower, and provide positive self- images of women."

Ellerbee was Dantzler's mass communications teacher at Randallstown High School.
