TOWSON, Md. — With COVID-19 cases spiking and a return to normal life nowhere in sight, the residents of Brightwood senior living are making the best of their time in quarantine.
Marketing Director, Mary Bauer, came up with the idea to roll out the red carpet and bring Hollywood to Brightwood
Residents dressed up as legendary actors and actresses, in order to recreate the posters of big screen classics they starred in.
Starring as Marilyn Monroe in The Seven Year Itch is Brightwood's own, Dr. Nancy Grasmick.
Playing Marlon Brando in the Godfather is Brightwood resident Ralph Kemp, 93, whose father founded the Mid-Atlantic staple, Royal Farms.
Introducing Bobbie Hansen, portraying Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's
With Jennie and Dutch Hall, reprising the roles of Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds in The Proposal.
The couple, both in their 80s, actually married in June after they met last Fall while Jennie was touring Brightwood.
These are just a few examples of the posters created, and if you ask us they look pretty darn cool.
All of them have been turned into a calendar that can be purchased, with proceeds going to the Maryland Food Bank.
