Flu season is in full swing and a new report says the Baltimore area has one of the most severe outbreaks.

According to the Doctors Report Illness Tracker, the Baltimore-Columbia-Towson area is ranked at a 9 out of 10 in flu severity. The tracker pulls numbers from a national database of reported cases over a period of a week.

The report also looked at cities affected by Flu A, which is a different type of influenza. Baltimore was ranked a 6 out of 10 and placed in the serious category for this type of outbreak.

Other cities where the flu is most severe include Boston, Charlotte, Philadelphia, DC, Miami, and Richmond.
