Posted

The CDC says illnesses from tick, mosquito and flea bites more than tripled between 2004 and 2016.

In 2016 alone, there were more than 96,000 reports of West Nile Virus, Lyme Disease and the Zika Virus in the United States.

The CDC says the numbers show bug bites are more than just summertime nuisances.

They can cause some serious health problems, even death.
