We're just hours away from Valentine's Day and if you still don't know what to get your significant other, how about some chocolate.
It's not only a romantic gift, but it also has health benefits.
"Chocolate's more than just a matter of the heart for what we give to people that we love," said Registered Dietitian Tamara Melton. "Chocolate has nutrients in it that can help us to protect our heart. They're called flavonols, and they help to increase the blood flow to your heart."
The German Institute of Human Nutrition says dark chocolate could lower your risk of experiencing a heart attack or stroke.
One study found as little as a quarter of an ounce of chocolate a day may keep the heart doctor away. Another study says it can improve your mood and help with inflammation.
Just remember, moderation is key.
