U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders' "Medicare for all" plan would raise government health care spending by more than $32.6 trillion over 10 years, according to a study by a university-based libertarian policy center.

Researchers at George Mason University found the plan would save money on administration and drug costs; however, increased demand for care would drive up spending.

Sen. Sanders called the study misleading.
