A new startup is helping you get plane tickets through installment programs and you don't need a credit check.
The Chicago-based business is allowing travelers to buy tickets on layaway. The process is pretty simple. Just find the flight you want on any airline's site. Take a screenshot and upload to Airfordable.
From there the site calculates the deposit amount, which is usually about a third of the ticket price. Then it gives you the total cost and payment plan. Airfordable does tack on a service fee. If you agree to the terms, they buy your ticket and you pay it off in weekly or monthly payments.
Once it's paid off, they send you your ticket. Travelers can book tickets that cost up to $2,000. You can buy tickets anywhere from two to 11 months in advance.
