More than 43.5 million American adults have a mental health condition and more than half of them don't receive treatment, according to an annual assessment released by Mental Health America.
The report also found the number of young people suffering from depression is increasing, by 80 percent either get no treatment or insufficient treatment.
Maryland ranked 14 overall on the list and in access to care, 13th.
