Junior Achievement holds annual leading ladies mentoring event

Posted

A group of young leaders got a leg up in Towson Wednesday.

Junior Achievement held it's annual leading ladies mentoring event.

Anchor Kelly Swoope was one of the leading ladies this year. She shared her stories, words of wisdom and hands on learning activities.

One-hundred girls from high schools around the area paired with professional women for mentoring and mingling at Stanley Black and Decker.

"Whether you're 30, 40, 50 or 15, 16, 17; it's just a great opportunity to bring women together and talk about, 'How'd you get to where you are?' or 'What do I need to do to get there?' and really build confidence for many of our high school young women who aren't sure what their pathway is," said president and CEO of Junior Achievement Central Maryland Jennifer Bodensiek.
