18-year-old man suffers life-threatening injuries after drive-by shooting in St. Mary's Co.

CALIFORNIA, Md. — The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office is investigating a drive-by shooting that seriously injured an 18-year-old man in California, Md.

Officers were originally called to an Urgent Care facility in Solomons on Wednesday morning for the reported shooting. Police learned that the man was driving on Route 4 and Lou's Way in California when a car pulled up next to his and began shooting.

The man was flown to a nearby trauma center where he sustained life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.
