BALTIMORE, md. — On Saturday, just before 3:30 p.m., police heard gunshots near 2300 block of North Fulton Avenue.

Officers arrived and began asking potential witnesses what occurred. A 45-year-old man and a 23-year-old man had been shot. Police found a 10-year-old girl who had also been shot in the 2300 block of Avalon Avenue.

Authorities say two groups of people started firing at one another after an argument.

All three victims were taken to area hospitals by ambulance. All three victims are in stable condition. Due to the severity of the injuries, Homicide investigators were also called.

Police Commissioner Michael Harrison and Mayor Brandon Scott Young updated WMAR-2 News at the scene.

"We have to understand that the lives of our young people are precious and we can not put them in danger over something stupid," Mayor Scott pleaded.

"I don't care what your silly little stupid beef is. That 10-year-old baby had nothing to do with that beef," he added.

"We are asking our community to step up if anyone has any information," Harrison urged.
