LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, Md. — A Linthicum Heights woman is being charged with her 74-year-old mother's murder.

Back on May 19, Anne Arundel County Police were called to the 1100 block of Winterson Road for a reported assault.

The 911 caller had initially been on the phone with Carol Elizabeth Windsor, when they overheard a struggle between she and her daughter, Kimberly Lynn Windsor.

When police got on scene, a bleeding Carol told them Kimberly had thrown a clock at her head and ran over her with a wheelchair.

Carol was taken to the hospital after having trouble breathing.

Officers tried arresting Kimberly, who was still on location, but she allegedly assaulted police and fire crews in the process.

Days later on May 24, Carol Windsor died.

Medical records showed she's suffered from broken ribs along with a combination of chest pain and chronic cough.

While an autopsy revealed cardiovascular disease as the cause of death, it was complicated by the assault, which turned the manner into homicide.

Prosecutors later added Second Degree Murder and Manslaughter charges.

Kimberly had been held at an out of county detention center, but was extradited on October 27.
