BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts announced on Tuesday that the Baltimore Book Festival and Light City will be combined into one event happening between Nov. 1 and Nov. 10.
In the past, Light City has happened in March or April, while the Book Festival took place in September. This year's festival will feature light art installations, thought-provoking literature as well as live performances and Neighborhood Light Grants.
"10 Baltimore City neighborhoods will be awarded a $5,000 grant to shine a positive light in their community with programming during the festival," said Mayor Jack Young
Applications for the grants are due on July 29, and can click here to apply.
