TOWSON, Md. — The “Yes” for A!” Baltimore County Citizens’ Election Fund” Campaign kicked off Tuesday.
Question A on ballots would allow the county to create an election fund for county council and executive candidates.
Through the system, small dollar donations would be matched. The fund would be voluntary for candidates.
"Creating this fair election fund will empower a more diverse field of candidates, create a more level playing field, and provide an opportunity to reduce the influence of high dollars in our elections."
If approved, the fund system would begin in 2026.
