BGE crews are working to restore power for dozens of homes after severe weather hit the central Maryland area on Wednesday.
According to BGE, the late-afternoon thunderstorm caused several downed trees and branches to damage electric wires.
An outage map on the BGE's website shows the areas with the most outages are Pikesville and Cockeysville.
They say customers who do not have power are expected to regain service by Thursday evening with some outages extending to Friday.
With more severe weather expected for Thursday, BGE has increased crews to asses and fix expected outages.
Customers can report outages online, on the BGE Mobile App, via text message to MyBGE (69243)*, or by calling customer service at 1-877-778-2222.
