BALTIMORE — Ms. Judy went in every Friday for fresh seafood. Mr. Stab went in for fresh bread. And 97-year-old Mr. Earl went in everyday, not to buy anything, just wanted to talk to those in the deli.
That is why it is so hard to say bye-bye to Bi-Rite.
Somehow, someway, Ms. Betty and Mr. Len carved a place out of a quarry at 5950 Belair Road and called it Bi-Rite.
This grocery store stayed open for 57 years, but Sandy and Chrissie have decided to call it quits. This Sunday, Bi-Rite will close forever.
Make sure you get in for the final Italian Cold Cut.
