BALTIMORE — It was clear skies for the painting of a Black Lives Matter mural in downtown Baltimore Friday.

It had been put on hold earlier this month because of the weather. BTST services, Kid balloon and other local artists began painting at 8 a.m.

It's on East Fayette Street, next to Baltimore City’s city hall.

The goal of this project is to show support and highlight the fact that black lives matter, while also celebrating the excellence and achievements of many trailblazers and pioneers in the fight.

The mural will be unveiled Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
