BALTIMORE — Feeding our frontline healthcare workers.
Capital Funding Group continued its Meals For Healthcare Heroes Initiative on Wednesday.
It supports workers while giving local restaurants a boost.
CFG and CFG Bank reinvested some of the money earned from facilitating paycheck protection program loans to help local restaurants hire back employees to provide the meals.
On Wednesday, they were delivered to staff at FutureCare North Point.
"They come to work everyday they're taking care of loved ones. They're like second family to these people because their existing family can't come in and visit them everyday so we wanted to show our appreciation to them for what they do showing up every day and doing their job."
Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger helped deliver meals Wednesday. 485 meals were handed out last week.
This week and next, CFG and CFG Bank will complete 11 deliveries. In the end, more than 2,000 meals will be given out.
