ADAMSTOWN, Md. — Carroll Manor Fire Co. 14/28. caught these photos of an alligator in the Carrol Manor area on Thursday!

According to Carroll Manor Fire, the alligator eluded capture and animal control set traps for the night.

They say the alligator should be a bit slower in the morning. After animal control captures the gator, the plan is to re-home the animal at a local zoo.

The fire company says it's believed that the gator was someone's pet and that it was dumped in the pond. It's believed to be about 6 months old based on its size.
