The Cecil County Sheriff's Office is investigating a murder that happened back on June 15th.
Patrol officers from the Perryville Police Department were called to an apartment in the 300 block of Mansion Drive Perryville for a death investigation. Based on what officers saw on the scene they ruled the death suspicious.
The Cecil County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner were contacted by the Perryville Police Department to help out. As things progressed over the last week, it was determined the death was a homicide.
The victim, Chad Thomas Petroulis lived at the apartment and died as a result of a stab wound to his upper body.
No arrests have been made and there are no signs of forced entry.
The investigation is still active and no further details are being released in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.
