Shooting at Douglass Homes becomes 151st homicide of 2019

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a homicide in the area of the 200 block of Douglas Court that took place just after 10 p.m. on Monday.

Police say that upon arrival to the scene, 44-year-old Raymond Johnson was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Homicide detectives are now investigating the scene.

This homicide marks the 151st of the year.

Since Saturday, 14 people have been shot in Baltimore, seven of who were murdered.

The city of Baltimore continues to surpass the violence with nearly 20 more murders in 2019 than at this time last year and a more than 20 percent spike in shootings.
