BALTIMORE — A car went flying into the air after a suspect attempted to elude police Friday afternoon.
A three-car crash closed down a portion of Harford Road near Weaver Avenue after a suspect in a minivan crashed into two cars while trying to speed away from officers in Baltimore County.
A pickup truck was one of three cars damaged.
“We heard a loud noise,” a person who lives nearby said.
William, who works in the neighborhood, said there were about 25 police officers responding around 1:30 p.m.
“I was working on a car right here before the guy that caused everything crashed into both of the two cars,” William said. “I was right here. He ran right here towards me and I went inside the tire shop.”
Baltimore County Police ultimately arrested the man, saying he was wanted for a crime in the county. No other details were made available.
Neighbors who witnessed the tail-end of chase are just glad no one was seriously hurt.
“I knew it was a chase because as soon as I heard the sound of the truck landing, there was police cars everywhere,” a woman said.
There has been no word on the suspects name or if charges have been filed.
