ABERDEEN, Md. — A two alarm fire broke out at a business building in Aberdeen Wednesday.
It happened around 6:30am on the unit block of W. Bel Air Avenue.
The two-story building contains a hair braiding business, a small church in the back, a vacant store up front, and an apartment on the second floor.
Maydays were called for two firefighters who went inside to battle the blaze.
One from Aberdeen Proving Ground fell through the floor, according to the State Fire Marshal.
Aberdeen Fire Chief Josh Montague said the other briefly became disoriented on scene.
Both are expected to be okay.
Although no one else was injured, four people who lived in the second floor apartment were displaced.
Investigators ruled the fire accidental, caused by an unspecified electrical failure.
It resulted in an estimated $150,000 in damage.
