WOODBINE, Md. (WMAR) — A fire has left one person hospitalized, and a family without a home.
It happened Monday evening in the 7000 block of Woodbine Road near the Carroll and Howard County line.
Several local crews arrived and found heavy fire conditions.
Robert Farver of the Winfield Community Fire Department said the residents are fully displaced as about 50 percent of the home was destroyed, including the backside and upper half of the house.
One of the family members was transported to the hospital with possible smoke inhalation, according to Farver.
The cause of the fire is unclear and will be investigated by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
